Meridian Police Department warns parents about 'splat guns'

MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — The Meridian Police department is cautioning parents to talk to their kids about using "splat guns."
"Meridian Police Department has received numerous reports of juveniles shooting passerbys with battery-powered water gel bead guns more commonly known as splat guns," MDP says. "While these devices are fun to use, firing them on individuals or property without consent can come with consequences."
MDP cautions parents to talk to their kids about splat guns and remind them of the following:
-No shooting at people without their consent
-Avoid shooting at other people's property including homes and vehicles
-No shooting at animals
Officers "have also been confiscating splat guns brought to schools," MDP says.
